Procurement of learning management system

Ten years has passed since the University signed a contract with Ping Pong AB, provider of our learning management system GUL. According to the rules, the time has come to carry out a new procurement. The University has joined NORDUnet's national procurement, which will be carried out during the autumn.

NORDUnet is a Nordic cooperation between the networks in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden (SUNET) that are responsible for e-infrastructure in higher education.

If everything works out according to plan, SUNET (Swedish University computer Network) will sign a contract with a learning management system provider when the procurement is completed. As a member of SUNET, the University of Gothenburg may suborder that service. If the University decides that the chosen service doesn't meet our demands and criteria, the University will start its own procurement in 2017.

If there will be a change of learning management system (i.e. another provider than Ping Pong AB wins the procurement), the change will take place during a long period of time, making the transition smooth.

Do you have questions regarding the procurement? Please contact gulsupport@gu.se
