Excellent Teacher

From spring 2017, each faculty decides the time period when they accept applications for the title of Excellent Teacher.

The University of Gothenburg has introduced the title Excellent Teacher as a way to highlight teachers with excellent pedagogical proficiency, in accordance with Vision 2020. Teachers who are university employees may apply for the title of Excellent Teacher, based on assessment criteria shared across the university. Assessment will be based on documented evidence of applicants’ reflective practice as teachers.

The title Excellent Teacher is taken into account in the university’s salary scales, and the head of department or equivalent is to consider this in conjunction with salary negotiations.
