More than a dozen classrooms at the University of Gothenburg are adapted for active learning according to the concept ALC – Active Learning Classroom. These classrooms have round tables for cooperation, and whiteboards (and often digital screens) at each table. The rooms are also equipped for blended learning. The teacher is usually positioned in the middle of the room.
The rooms are only suitable for collaborative forms of learning. They are not suited for lectures or similar forms of education.
